WPM: Typing Speed 0
WPM, or “words per minute” is the most common measure of typing speed. It is a standardized measure of keyboarding aptitude that treats a ‘word’ as any string of 5 characters (so “delicately” would count as 2 words while “as if” would count as just 1 word). Typical typing speeds for a regular computer user are in the range of 30-50 words per minute, but many people can type more like 75 wpm and the really skilled amongst us can exceed 100 wpm.
